Late Night Chat with Stephen Aryan
Super cool guy and a great novelist Steve Aryan (check out his Battle Mage books! They’re dope, and his new one, The Coward) was kind enough to have me on his YouTube series of Late Night Chats. We talked about process, our books, me forgetting having met him at NineWorlds 2014 convention (big embarrassment on my part) in London. It’s was a fun talk!

Southern Gods T-Shirts
Back when Southern Gods was released - 10 years ago this August 11th! - I thought it would be fun to create a t-shirt for Ramblin’ John Hastur’s show at Ruby’s. That fateful night. Anyway, so I did and I put it on Cafe Press and maybe sold five or six tees. Someone tagged me in an Instagram post - thanks Dana! - and reminded me that design exists. I rummaged around in my digital garage - three or four external hard-drives - and found the original vector art.
RAMBLIN’ JOHN HASTUR LIVE AT RUBY’S ON THE BAYOU t-shirts are once more available. If you’d like an obscure reference to an event in an obscure (though… ahem… well regarded) novel, you can buy them at the following links.
Festa Verlag Publication of Southern Gods
At the end of May, European publisher Festa Verlag releases Southern Gods in German. They came up with a tentacular new cover (which in many ways I like more than the old one - long story but… Bleeding Cowboy, ugh). I have no idea about the translator and other than signing papers, they’ve asked me no questions, so, it could be amazing. I will never know because I have had one year of German that was in seventh grade and I can’t remember much. I do remember how to order a beer in German from the summer I spent studying in Innsbruck, Austria.
If you are a reader of German and want a copy of Southern Gods in that dulcet language, you can purchase one here. But hurry! They are 90% sold out. It is a limited run.
Anywho, down with the Hapsburgs! Remember the Springtime of the Peoples!
