The Shining - Six Bridges Book Festival
On Sunday, October 30th, 2022, at 4pm in the Ron Robinson Theater in downtown Little Rock, I’m giving a presentation at the Six Bridges Book Festival (formerly the Arkansas Literary Festival) on Stephen King’s Stanley Kubrick’s THE SHINING to be followed by a screening of the film. I’ll be talking about the fiction friction (lol) between one artist reinterpreting another's work, some of the conspiracy theories about Kubrick and the film, and a little about how terrible Kubrick was to work with and how Stephen remains the once and future King of horror.
